About Dr. Atakan Güvendiren
Dr. Atakan Güvendiren completed his medical degree at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (1996–2002) and received his specialisation in orthopaedics and traumatology at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Education and Research Hospital (2003–2008). He completed a fellowship in orthopaedics and traumatology at Florence Nightingale Hospital (2005–2006).
He completed his military service as an orthopaedics and traumatology specialist at Tatvan Military Hospital (2009–2010); fulfilled his mandatory public service at Kızıltepe State Hospital (2012–2013), and subsequently worked as an orthopaedics and traumatology specialist at İstinye State Hospital for many years (2013–2026).
His clinical interests include knee, hip, shoulder, elbow and ankle prosthetics, robotic knee and hip prosthetics, arthroscopic surgery, trauma and sports injuries, and spine conditions. He has received training in arthroscopy, trauma and spine surgery both domestically and internationally.
He continues his practice as founder physician at his clinic in Istanbul Mecidiyeköy (Nova Osteo&Dent).
